Membership FAQ
How do I sign up? Come to the store to sign up and get your membership card. OR you can call the store (914-847-0773) to purchase a membership over the phone. OR you can buy a membership online at the link above!
Do I need to always show my membership card? No. We can look you up by your name.
How long does my membership last? One calendar year, with renewals starting every year on January 1.
What if I sign up in the middle of the year? Your membership fee will be pro-rated.
What store discount do I receive? 10% for $50 membership and 15% for $100 membership
What other benefits come with membership? Free preloved book coupons at signup, and early notification about our many bookstore events
What items are included in the membership discount? Books (new, preloved, and rare); Vinyl Records; Paper Goods (cards, stationery items, art supplies, journals and notebooks, calendars, and gift bags/wrapping); Toys, Games and Puzzles (new and preloved); and Tote Bags
What items are not included in the discount? Artisan Items (pottery, jewelry, leather goods, blankets, framed pictures, maps); Green Ossining and other Fundraising items; and Small Items (pins, magnets, stickers, bookmarks, body products, candles, electronic items, and holiday items)
Can I give a membership as a gift? Yes! HVBH memberships make the perfect gift, and you can buy them in-store or over the phone.
