Black Messiahs, by Steven A. Holmes

What happens when the struggle against fascism abroad collides with the fight for equality at home?

Black Messiahs follows two Black American soldiers and a young Jewish Holocaust survivor whose lives intersect during the liberation of Nazi concentration camps. Inspired by the extraordinary service of the 761st Tank Battalion, the novel examines courage, identity, sacrifice, and the complicated meaning of freedom.

Come meet author Steven A. Holmes, who will read from his book and—together with the audience—explore the story, his shift from factual writing to fictional storytelling, and the power of narrative to connect diverse communities.

Books will be available for purchase and signing. Please RSVP below for planning purposes.

This event is co-sponsored by JTC Experiences.
